Last summer Chris teamed up with Jenn Putnam of Jennergy, inc to shoot a series of five ads for the King and Kitsap County branch of the American Red Cross. The ads were designed to promote workplace safety training and were recently recognized by the American Red Cross with the "Best in the West" Award. Below are three of the five ads.
Motofish spent Friday afternoon and evening shooting kayaking for the June cover of Seattle Magazine. We waited for, and got, the only sunny day that has been seen in Seattle for awhile. The shoot went very well with excellent talent, lots of help from Greg of Alki Kayak Tours and h&m by Jennifer Popochock. Following are a few production stills and a couple of the shots ...
Galveston, somewhat equidistant for my far flung family. Never really been to Texas before, it sure is pretty here and quite large as well. We're right on the beach and my son Daniel is loving it (that's him with his Grampy). There's some spooky, biting, stinging things here though ...
Motofish just wrapped another Red Torpedo shoot. However, instead of a custom choppers we had a Honda superbike, instead of a motorcycle workshop to shoot in we had a lounge made in our studio. But, per usual we had the black plexi and tons of fun. The book will be out in time for Easter and can be found in NME Magazine. Following are some shots and a quick little vid (Those of you that grew up in the 80's will appreciate it ...). Thanks too to all the talent and crew. We had a blast!
Grunder is dead sexy ... Greg and Chris practice their flying-through-the-air-with-sword skills Greg and Troy ... Chris in the lounge
Motofish spent last week shooting outdoors all over the Northwest. As well as having a great time we saw lots of different weather; from tons of rain in the Cascades, to a bit of snow in eastern Washington and gale force sand storms on the Oregon coast we saw it all. While all that made the shooting conditions harder it gave the shots a background and an authenticity that you just don't find in sunny LA for instance. So, we'll dry off, get our cameras cleaned and get back to it.
Thanks to all the crew and talent for a great shoot!
Motofish currently has 3 different images featured on the Corbis website in the new work section. The picks show a good range of our work from outdoors/athletic to the slightly goofy. The gallery can be seen here, Corbis link
Outside of a nice family vacation back to Maine Chris spent a good part of the summer shooting some editorial jobs. Two of those jobs were for the August and September features of Seattle Magazine both of which ended up on the covers. August was the shopping issue and September's feature was on top docs in Seattle which is always one of the more publicized issues. Both were great shoots and the results in print can be seen below ...
