Garden & Gun is a southern lifestyle magazine that is all about the sporting culture, food, and arts of the South. Since it's launch in 2007 G&G has garnered many industry accolades for it's writing, photography and design. Last May Greg was asked by Garden & Gun to travel with writer Maggie McGuane to Belle Chasse, Louisiana to photograph the region's Cajun shrimpers. Shrimping in Louisiana is an industry in flux and many feel that the Cajun Shrimper is a dying breed. Late spring storms produced over 5 inches of rain and multiple tornados, making the assignment a challenge to photograph. If you haven't already, pick up a copy of G&G, especially if your roots are in the South.
Ogio bags recently signed professional golfer Fred Couples to endorse a new line of golf travel gear. Motofish Images was hired to travel to Palm Springs to shoot Fred at his home course and on his private jet for the upcoming launch of the product line.
Motofish was awarded a gold Chubby in the Self Promotion category at the 2009 Seattle show. The award was for a series of three cycling books that were expertly designed by Troy Nebeker of Hammerquist & Nebeker and that we produced for the 2008 Interbike show.
Motofish spent a day at the beautiful Westwind Motel in Renton, WA earlier this month shooting a seedy hotel shoot. Talent came from SMG and hair and make-up and styling was courtesy of Tara Reps. After we got everyone situated and solved some electrical issues we got to work. It was certainly a fun day and we discovered that we know seedy. Thanks to all that participated!
Here are some production stills taken by our assistant Matt.

Motofish just began a new collaboration with Full Speed Ahead the first result of which can be seen below. FSA produces all sorts of cutting edge goodies for the carbon fiber obsessed road or mountain bike rider. We were excited to begin this work with FSA not only because we're bike enthusiasts but also because it gives us a chance to show off our product and studio capabilities. Hopefully there will be more to come!
Precor recently released a line of freshly designed strength equipment. Greg and Chris teamed up to photograph the products in a small fitness club environment. Art directed by Troy Nebeker (H&N) and tirelessly produced by Rebecca Davis, the shoot came together and wrapped just before the snows hit Seattle. The shoot was a great success. Thanks to a great client and crew for making it all happen.
Motofish recently completed a spa shoot for seattle Magazine's upcoming beauty issue. We traveled to a number of spas in the Seattle area as well as out to Suncadia Resort in eastern Washington to shoot the outdoor hot pools. We also got a chance to break in our new studio space with a shoot for the cover of the beauty issue which will be available in February.
